The Oakland Raiders fell to the San Franciso 49’ers 17-3 Saturday night in their second pre-season game of the 2011 season. Oakland was without many key players Louis Murphy, Run DMC, Jacoby Ford and that list may have grown with starting QB Jason Campbell going down with a possible concussion and new TE Kevin Boss suffered a knee injury. JC was injured late in the 2nd quarter on a scramble and appeared to take a knee to the helmet. The Raiders’ moved the ball well at times, but still had trouble finding the end zone. Browns coach Pat Shurmur revealed starting wide receiver Mohamed Massaquoi has an injured bone in his left leg. The Raiders have gotten their replacement for former TE Zach Miller. Today the club agreed to terms with Giants free agent tight end Kevin Boss. Free agent wide receiver Chad Jackson has agreed to terms with the Raiders, Jackson’s agent, David Canter, announced on Twitter. Terms were not disclosed. The Chiefs have a new lead blocker for running back Jammal Charles. Former Ravens fullback and free agent Le’Ron McClain has agreed to terms with the Chiefs. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. They have reportedly come to terms with defensive lineman Cullen Jenkins on a 5 year, $25 million contract. The Buccaneers have reached a five-year deal with outside linebacker Quincy Black, Adam Caplan of Sports TV reports. The Texans have taken a big step towards improving their 32nd-ranked pass defense, agreeing to terms on a five-year deal with free agent cornerback Johnathan Joseph, Sports TV’s Adam Schefter reports. Joseph’s contract is worth $48.5 million, with 23.5 million guaranteed, and a $12.5 million signing bonus, complimentary of John McClain from the Houston Chronicle. A 2006 first-round pick out of South Carolina, Joseph has 272 tackles and 14 interceptions during his 67-game career. Joseph has returned three of those interceptions for touchdowns. Despite having plenty of cap under the salary cap, the Bengals declined to use the franchise tag on Joseph in February, clearing his path to unrestricted free agency.
